We join the many voices who are embracing this move towards greater reconciliation with, and a stronger voice for First Nations Peoples.

 

The injustices that continue to be faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples must be rectified in unity as a nation. Many of these injustices are manifested through the health outcomes that CHA members and their workforces address every day.

 

This historic document provides all Australians with an opportunity to come together and work towards a better future for our nation and its first peoples. 

 

CHA is also encouraged by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference’s leadership in endorsing the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
