On Palm Sunday, walk for justice, freedom and peace at the ‘Big Walk 4 Refugees’ around Lake Weroona, Bendigo, starting at 12:00 p.m.
Rural Australians for Refugees and Bendigo Churches are hosting the pdf Palm Sunday Big Walk (2.20 MB) for Refugees to raise awareness of the plight of thousands of refugees living in Australian communities without certainty because they do not have permanent visas.
If you can’t make it to the Bendigo Walk, there might be one in your area, check out Palm Sunday Walks near you. Or, why not walk with a group of friends at a time convenient to you – simply register your walk at the Big Walk 4 Refugees website.
If you can’t attend an event, or walk, you can still contribute towards making Australia more fair and humane by lobbying politicians and ask them to support the call for Justice for Refugees:
