Sandhurst Pilgrimage to World Youth Day Seoul 2027

Join Bishop René Ramirez RCJ and young adults from across the Diocese of Sandhurst on a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to World Youth Day (WYD) Seoul 2027.

Open to young people aged 18–35, including parish young adults, young leaders, and staff from Catholic schools, this pilgrimage is an invitation to deepen your relationship with Christ and grow from encounter to intentional discipleship. Whether you are actively involved in your faith community or simply exploring where God is calling you next, you are welcome to join us on the journey.

World Youth Day is the Catholic Church's largest international gathering of young people, bringing together millions of pilgrims from around the world with the Holy Father for prayer, celebration, formation, and cultural exchange. WYD Seoul 2027 will be held from 3–8 August 2027 and carries the theme: "Take courage! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33), a powerful invitation for young people to live with hope, courage, and missionary purpose.

The anticipated cost of the pilgrimage is $6,000–$7,000, with subsidies available through the Diocese of Sandhurst and CESL to help make participation more accessible.

Expressions of Interest for the Sandhurst Pilgrimage are now open.  Submitting an Expression of Interest does not commit you to attending or guarantee a place on the pilgrimage. It simply assists Sandhurst Youth Ministry in planning and ensures you receive future updates and information as they become available.

Come and discover the joy of the universal Church, encounter Christ in a new way, and take your next step as an intentional and missionary disciple.
