27 “After several postponements due to COVID-19 border closures the day of my Ordination finally came. Despite public health restrictions, and the fact that Australia’s closed borders meant my parents and several family and friends could not make it, the Ordination Mass was beautifully and prayerfully celebrated.” “In my thanksgiving remarks towards the end of my Ordination Mass, I quoted a Franciscan Capuchin friar who was beatified in 2017, Blessed Solanus Casey, OFM. Cap from the United States who once said: “ Thank God ahead of time .” What a wonderful attitude towards life. What confidence he had in God. I am thanking God ahead of time, for whatever lies ahead for me in my priesthood.” “Ever since I came across that saying of Blessed Solanus, I have tried my best to thank God ahead of time. Amidst the joy and sadness in life; the blessings and challenges, He is and will still be faithful. I entrust my life, and nowmy ministry as a priest, in His love and mercy.” Rev. Fr Adi Indra Rev. Fr Adi Indra was ordained a priest on Saturday 10 July 2022 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Bendigo. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic Adi’s ordination was postponed several times and he possibly became Sandhurst’s longest serving transitional deacon. Fr Adi’s Mass of Thanksgiving was at St Kilian’s Church, Bendigo on Sunday 11 July. After his ordination Fr Adi spent time serving at St Brendan’s Parish, Shepparton before returning to Rome to complete postgraduate studies in Canon Law. He will return to the Diocese in 2023 to serve as a priest. Rev. Fr Adi Indra Ordained a Priest “I thank you, my brother priests and the people of Sandhurst who have made me, and many others, your own.” Rev. Fr Adi Indra “My heart felt so full during the ordination … To think that you Adi, a young adult who I met at an event in Perth, would later join our Stronger Youth Ministry, and eventually end up in the seminary; are now a priest. My mind is still blown at the thought of what God has done in and through your life. I know that God will continue to bless you and use you in ways you never even thought possible”. Rev.
