47 CELEBRATIONS On Sunday, 6 June, the Feast of Corpus Christi, Bishop Shane inducted Altar Server Mason Crosier into the Guild of St Stephen, at St Mary’s Church, Mooroopna. On 23 February, parishioners of St Mary’s Mooroopna celebrated 85 years since the dedication of their Church, with a Mass celebrated by Parish Priest Monsignor Peter Jeffrey. The brick Church as it stands today, was consecrated in 1936 and replaced a timber Church, which was built in 1877. Comensoli of Melbourne was principal celebrant of CatholicCare Victoria’s opening Mass at St Anthony of Padua Parish, South Melton, which was concelebrated by Bishop Paul Bird CSsR of Ballarat, Bishop Shane Mackinlay of Sandhurst, Bishop Greg Bennet of Sale and honoured clergy.
