51 FAREWELL 17 March 2021 after Benediction, Mother Anthony and Sister Clare leave the Monastery of the Holy Ghost for their new Community in Roswell New Mexico. Sr Christopher departed the day before to join a community in Sydney. “ Wherever we go you are in our hearts and we ask you to please remember us.” Mother Anthony “Their offer of prayer, their power of prayer, has brought lots of comfort to people; whether the prayers are answered their way or perhaps in God’s ways, it is nevertheless a testament to their vocation of contemplation, and prayer, and work, that we would like to give praise and thanks to, today.” Fr Andrew Fewings “The Poor Clares’ prayerful and contemplative presence in our midst is a powerful reminder to us all of the importance of simplicity, reflection and humble listening for God’s spirit.” Bishop Shane Mackinlay 14 March 2021 at the Farewell Mass, Mother Anthony presented Bishop Shane with an icon of St Clare of Assisi.
