56 Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst Year in Review 2023 Caring for Our Common Home and working towards Laudao Si’ Goals via Catholic Earthcare Friday 1 September: On the World Day of Prayer for Creation, an outdoor Mass was celebrated by Bishop Shane at the Greater Bendigo National Park to launch the Season of Creation. Galahs flew in to perch on surrounding Kamarooka Mallee, and wildflowers rustled with the breeze – as if they knew the Gospel Reading was about them. Bishop Shane was joined by clergy and parishioners, students and teachers from across the Diocese.After Mass, participants stayed to enjoy a picnic and sausage sizzle in the glorious surrounds of the park.
