Ecumenical Christmas Concert at Sacred Heart Cathedral

Sandhurst Mission and Pastoral Council setting a Strategic Direction
At their fourth and final meeting for 2023, members of the Sandhurst Mission and Pastoral Council (SMPC) continued their collaborative work documenting a strategic plan for the Diocese based on the results of the dialogue and consultation which took place last year and the concrete proposals from the Diocesan Assembly.
ACN Supporting Christians in the Holy Land
The pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) has committed an aid package of 190,000 AUD to support the Christians of the Holy Land during the current crisis. This aid will assist impoverished Christians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, as well as Christian migrant workers and asylum seekers in Israel.
St Malachy’s Nagambie celebrates 150th Anniversary
On Sunday 19 November, St Malachy’s Nagambie, one of the founding parishes of the Diocese of Sandhurst, commemorated its 150th anniversary. It was a joy-filled occasion which echoed with nostalgia and community spirit, bringing generations of clergy and parishioners together to celebrate the historic occasion.
Pope Francis calls on Young People to become Sowers of Hope
At the Angelus on the Solemnity of Christ the King (26 November), when World Youth Day (WYD) is celebrated at a diocesan level throughout the Church, Pope Francis described young people as the "present and future of the world," and invited them to be "joyful protagonists in the life of the Church."
