We give thanks for efforts to contain COVID-19 in Australia,
for the many lives saved,
for keeping our nation healthy,
and for allowing us to begin returningto the nourishment you provide us.
May your comforting hand come upon Victoria
as we fight the local outbreaks of our pandemic.
May we work together toswiftlyend this current outbreak
so that we may once againfeast with our loved ones,
return in greater numbers toyour Eucharisticnourishment
andconfidently return to community lifewithout fear of falling sick to the virus.
And may we return to a better normal than the one we had pre COVID-19.

In the meantime, we know you are our constant companion
as we battle the loneliness and isolation that COVID-19 brings.
Help us to be sensible in our decision making.
Give us strength to be patient.

Comfort those who are weary of this fight.
Protect the health of Victorians.
Prevent the continued spread of disease.
Help us appreciate all you have given us.
And help us surrender to your will.

Help us also walk in solidarity with our sisters and brothers
who fight this disease with fewerresources
and where COVID-19 will have a more devastating impact.
May we be empowered to help these people
and may we prevent the devastating effects of sickness in areas
that already experience extreme poverty.
