Although the Archbishop’s Dinner could not proceed this year, we hope to continue to support the cause for which the Dinner is held – the education of Victoria’s seminarians studying at Corpus Christi College Carlton for the Dioceses of Melbourne, Ballarat, Sandhurst and Sale, and of those seminarians and priests studying for chaplaincies within the Australian Defence Force, via the Military Ordinariate of Australia. Since 1999, the Knights of the Southern Cross (KSC) Priests Support and Education Fund has raised over $1.2 million for these seminarians, which has assisted to subsidise textbooks and other materials for their studies.
For those who would like to make a donation to the Fund, the 2020 Archbishop’s Dinner Booking Form can now be used as a donation form. Please click here to download the form.
I understand the financial difficulties the current situation has brought upon so many people, so I ask that, if you are able to do so, you make a donation of your choosing. Any and all donations will be highly valued, especially under these difficult economic circumstances. A cheque will be presented to Archbishop Comensoli for our seminarians at an event at Corpus Christi College Carlton sometime later this year, when circumstances allow.
I would like to thank the ongoing support of all the patrons, sponsors, and supporters who have made the previous 21 Archbishop’s Dinners such wonderful events. While it is regrettable that we will not be able to meet in such circumstances this year, we look forward to seeing you again for next year’s Archbishop’s Dinner.
May God bless you all and keep you safe during these difficult times.
