Top Students Recognised

Catholic Education Sandhurst students Joshua McInness (Sacred Heart College Yarrawonga) and Abby Smyth (Notre Dame College Shepparton) have both been recognised for their outstanding 2020 VCE study scores by receiving Premier’s Awards.

Both Students completed their VCE subjects during Year 11, achieving study scores that placed them amongst the State’s highest achievers for the subjects of Outdoor & Environmental Studies and Engineering.

The annual Premier’s VCE Awards recognises students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

In 2021, a total of 323 awards, including 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards, recognised the exceptional dedication and hard work of 297 students during the 2020 VCE.

Engineering (VCE VET)
Year 12 student Joshua McInness has been acknowledged by receiving a Premier's Award for Excellence in the 2020 VCE and VET. Joshua received this award for his perfect score of 50 in VET Engineering which he undertook as an accelerated subject last year.

Outdoor Education & Environmental Studies
Abby completed two VCE subjects during Year 11 and achieved a perfect 50 in both Outdoor and Environmental Studies and Health and Human Development. Abby was recognised with a Premier’s Award for her Outdoor Education & Environmental Studies score.
