Deputy Principals from Sandhurst schools took part in a full day of media training on Wednesday 10 May with journalist Sam Elam, director of Media Manoeuvres. 

Training provides insight into the media industry focusing on both proactive and reactive media engagement and how to prepare for a crisis situation. 

Participants took part in simulated interviews to gain valuable experience in how to prepare for and conduct a controlled interview. Training also provided  instruction around how to prepare a holding statement and talking points when dealing with the media.

The Media training program is supported by the Catholic Education Sandhurst Board and school leaders are encouraged to attend training every three years.
