Graduate Teachers focus on Proven Strategies for Learning Outcomes

Graduate Teachers learned collaboratively from expert presenters Glen Pearsall, Lucy Buncle and CES education officers at the Catholic Education Sandhurst (CES) Graduate Residential Conference in Moama last week.

More than 30 Graduate teachers from expert presenters Glen Pearsall, Lucy Buncle and CES education officers in interactive workshops, focusing on evidence-based learning and teaching strategies to support student learning and classroom management, as well as the VIT registration process.

Chief Executive Director of Catholic Education Sandhurst, Paul Desmond, said teaching was one of the most noble professions in the world and he thanked the graduates for choosing teaching as a profession.

"Each day in Sandhurst almost 20,000 students walk through the doors of our schools, each of them rich in potential and they are in your hands. They deserve the best, and it's important that you have every opportunity to hone your skills as a teacher, to learn best practices and that you have the support of Catholic Education Sandhurst to achieve this," he said.

The conference also provided valuable opportunities for early career teachers to network with their fellow graduate teachers from across the diocese. At Catholic Education Sandhurst, we believe that by investing in the development and support of young teachers, we are investing in the future of education in our diocese.
