An Emerald Hour of Irish Music, Culture and Song

Saturday 16 March 12:30 p.m.
Bendigo Library, 256 Hargreaves St, Bendigo

Be transported to Ireland with an emerald hour of live Irish music, song, and dance. Featuring performances from renowned Irish musicians including Meryl Wilkinson, Celtic harpist and singer; Allan Evans, fiddle player; Ruth Boylan, harpist; and Frederick Kelly, Irish tenor. Directed by John Clancy, accompanist, singer, scholar of Celtic Studies and Latin American Studies, and organist at St Therese’s Church, Kennington.

The O’Shea Ryan Irish Dancers will invigorate the performance with their lively dancing in honour of their late teacher, Geraldine Ryan, who sadly passed away in December last year aged 93 years.

This concert is made possible by a generous community grant from the City of Greater Bendigo. The concert is free, but donations to the Irish Association.

The venue has limited seating, so audiences should aim to arrive shortly after twelve o’clock. It should be noted that children under eight years of age might not find this concert interesting.
