Fr Boniface Returns

Fr Boniface Kamulegeya has returned from Rwanda to serve in the Diocese of Sandhurst for the next four years. His first appointment as Priest in Residence at Kerang, Cohuna and Pyramid Hill parish commenced on Tuesday 22 October.

Fr Boniface, originally from Uganda, moved to Rwanda to meet a need for priests. Ordained for the Diocese of Butare in 2015, he has served as a parish priest since 2016. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management and is currently taking an online course in parish administration through Villanova University. He has also served twice as a supply priest in Southwark, London.

Last year Fr Boniface served as a Priest in Residence for the parishes of Rutherglen and Chiltern while on a short three-month visa. He then returned to Rwanda where he has been the Director of Caritas among other things.
