Fr Novelito Lim, Chair of the Sandhurst Priests’ Retirement Foundation reports on the Foundation’s recent Annual Conference, "A day of Gratitude and Collaboration."
The Priests’ Retirement Foundation Annual Conference in Tatura was a heartwarming gathering of committee members, behind-the-scenes supporters, and clergy from across the Diocese of Sandhurst. With Bishop Shane's unwavering support, this year has seen a remarkable increase in donations, reflecting the generosity of parishes and parishioners led by their dedicated parish priests.
Our retired priests remain integral to our Diocese and continue to assist parishes in many ways. Their contributions alongside the strong support for the Annual Appeal, underscore the shared mission of caring for those who have served faithfully.
Special thanks go to our committee members — Geoff Bowyer, Peter Spurling, Monsignor Frank Marriott and Fr Jake Mudge — for their valuable expertise.
We also acknowledge Greg Westbrook for legal advice; Cameron Fraser and Peter Trendos for financial guidance; Debbie Lambert for assisting with claims and Sally Holmes for secretarial support.
