The Sandhurst Mission and Pastoral Council gathered in Shepparton for their ninth meeting on Friday 21, and Saturday 22 February. Christine Sebire led the Liturgy of the Word, which focused on the Jubilee Year, and Claire Spinelli provided a brief report on Youth Ministry.
Members reviewed the first two statutes governing the Council and participated in activities facilitated by Geoff Gowdie, inviting advice and recommended steps to operationalise Strategic Direction 3 “Life Giving and Empowering”.
As Fr Jackson has moved from Shepparton to the Cathedral Cluster of parishes a new member of Clergy from the Goulburn Valley deanery will soon be appointed. The Council thanked Fr Jackson for his contribution to the Council over the past two years.
