The Diocese is preparing to send 200 young pilgrims to the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF), a three-day celebration of faith, community and encounter that will gather over 10,000 young people from across the country in Melbourne, from 30 November to 2 December.
Year 10 and 11 students from Catholic Schools and parishes, young adults under the age of 25, and young teachers from Sandhurst Catholic Schools are invited to join the Sandhurst Pilgrimage, led by Bishop Shane.
Sandhurst Youth Ministry Team Leader, Claire Spinelli will be co-ordinating the Sandhurst pilgrimage. Claire says the journey will start well before we leave for Melbourne, with formation opportunities in the lead-up to the pilgrimage and afterwards, as we continue our journey of faith together. “The Festival offers young people a place at the table, ways to participate meaningfully and explore their faith with others. It’s a great opportunity to foster a sense of belonging and community for young people in our geographically vast Diocese.”
Further information will be available to schools and parishes in the coming weeks. Make sure to follow Sandhurst Youth Ministry on Facebook or Instagram, and subscribe to Sandpiper e-News for updates.
