St Augustine’s Kyabram and Sacred Heart, Tatura celebrated Pentecost Mass with the annual Multicultural Mass. We gathered as a community of diverse cultures, languages, and traditions to celebrate the Eucharist and our shared faith. These Multicultural Masses are a testament to the richness and beauty of our community, where people from different backgrounds come together to worship and praise God.
Parishioners were encouraged to dress in national costume. The readings and prayers of the faithful were spoken in different languages, as well as some of the hymns. After the Mass parishioners enjoyed delicious foods from a variety of cultures. As parish communities, we are really challenged and inspired to listen, learn and grow together. By embracing our differences and celebrating our diversity, we create a more inclusive and welcoming community.
The Mass on Pentecost Sunday affords a meaningful opportunity to share and celebrate in the diverse cultures we have in our faith community. Thanks to all who were involved in it.
