Throughout the Sandhurst Diocese, students in Catholic schools are stepping into a powerful role as FIRE Carriers: Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education.
"To be a FIRE Carrier, it’s about taking up a mantle. It's about being a leader and being prepared to walk with courage, respect and understanding,” says Michael Chisholm, Aboriginal Education Lead at Catholic Education Sandhurst.
Each student who becomes a FIRE Carrier commits to carry forward the story of reconciliation in their school and beyond.
