On Sunday, 8 March, it was a great delight to welcome our family and friends to Corpus Christi College. For the seminary, it is one of the highlights of the year!
The day began with Holy Mass in the beautiful Sacred Heart Church, presided over by Fr Daryl Montecillo (first-year Formator and Director of Pastoral Formation). Concelebrating with him were Fr Brian Nichols, Fr Trevor Tibbertsma and Fr Paul Sireh O’Carm. For many of our visitors, it would have been their first time seeing inside the stunning church.
After Mass, the seminary community, along with family and friends, gathered in the dining hall to share lunch and conversation. One highlight was seeing how much food everyone had brought and shared with much laughter and joy. Many guests travelled some distance to be present for the day.
Priestly formation is a long journey. However, with constant prayer and support from our family and friends, along with the guidance of our formators, there comes great peace and encouragement to press on.
We sincerely thank our family and friends for joining us to celebrate this special day with us, and we look forward to welcoming them back here soon!
