Screening of 'Regenerating Australia'

This free online event will begin with prayer at 6.00 p.m. followed by the screening of the documentary film ‘Regenerating Australia’.  At the end of the screening there will be an opportunity for discussion about how to get involved.

Archbishop Costelloe 125The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference has elected Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB president of the Conference, and re-elected Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP vice-president, on the opening day of its plenary meeting.
The Conference agreed that the president and vice-president’s two-year terms will commence on 13 July 2022, after the Second General Assembly of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia.Archbishop Costelloe was appointed an Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne in 2007 and Archbishop of Perth in 2012.

Archbishop Charles BavoThe new Apostolic Nuncio to Australia, Archbishop Charles Balvo, has arrived as Pope Francis’ ambassador to Australia in what the 70-year-old believes will be his final assignment, after having already served 35 years in the Vatican’s diplomatic corps.

Kirsty GoulburnSunday, April 23, Kirsty Robertson, Caritas Australia’s CEO, and Richard Landels, Caritas Australia’s Advancement Director, took off on an epic 900km bicycle ride from Sydney to Melbourne in a quest to help break the cycle of poverty.  
They started the journey from Mary Immaculate Church in Quakers Hill, Sydney, with a blessing from Bishop Vincent Long and will finish in at St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne where they will be greeted by Archbishop Peter Comensoli.  The cyclists will soon be stopping in Wangaratta and Euroa in the Diocese of Sandhurst, where they will meet with students at local schools and parishioners.
