Sale of Feathertop Chalet to Chabad Youth - Media release 5th December, 2016
The Diocese of Sandhurst today announced that it plans to sell Feathertop Chalet to Chabad Youth in order to concentrate on its core ministries across the Diocese. For over 26 years Feathertop has provided learning and development opportunities for schools and retreat based accommodation for individuals and family groups.
The Professional Standards Committee of the Diocese of Sandhurst is part of the structure under the protocols established by Towards Healing process (n. 39) which requires that each Bishop have a consultative group to assist him in the formulation and review of Diocesan policies and practices relating to professional standards, specifically implementation of the process outlined in Towards Healing for responding to allegations of abuse of children, young persons and vulnerable adults.
The Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst accepts into its collection, material which is relevant to the Australian Catholic experience in this diocese.
